Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce rumored to be dating: Are they the new power couple?

It seems that football star Travis Kelce‘s persistence has paid off as he has reportedly linked up with pop superstar Taylor Swift. A source revealed to The Messenger that “Taylor and Travis have been quietly hanging out,” and that the singer saw the athlete when she was in New York City a few weeks ago. The news comes after Kelce attempted to pass Swift his phone number during her record-breaking Eras Tour, but was unsuccessful in his attempts.

During an episode of the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelcethe Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed that he made a bracelet for the show with the digits of his phone number on the beads. The two-time Super Bowl champ wanted to gift the homemade jewelry to the pop star ahead of her Kansas City show at Arrowhead Stadium in July, but unfortunately for him, Swift didn’t take the bait.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce explained on the podcast.

Although reps for Swift and Kelce have yet to comment on the rumored relationship, fans are already buzzing about the potential couple. Some have even taken to social media to express their excitement, with one user writing: “Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift? That’s a power couple right there!” Another user tweeted, “I’m not saying I shipped Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, but I shipped Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.”

Kelce is a swiftie

Kelce, who has previously been linked to reality TV star Kayla Nicolehas been vocal about his admiration for Swift in the past. During an interview with ESPN in 2019, he revealed that he was a big fan of the singer and even attended one of her concerts. “She puts on an amazing show, and she’s just a great performer,” he said.

It remains to be seen whether Kelce and Swift will confirm their relationship, but for now, fans can only speculate. Regardless of their status, it’s clear that Kelce is a big fan of the “Shake It Off” singer, and who knows? Maybe they’ll collaborate on a project in the future.
